Brandon Olmos - Bass and groove
From Los Angeles California, Olmos grew up on the Sunset strip of LA In New York he attended Hunter college where he learned most of his musical education. His influences are Santana, The Beach Boys and Miles Davis. His first band was a band called “Elijah” started by his father, actor Edward James Olmos. Olmos has played with New York bands such as Kon Kon and sat in as bass player for Michael Powers. He was been in bands that has opened up for Buddy Miles and Three Dog Night. Currently Olmos lives in San Antonio as a producer making documentaries.
Rick Pichardo - Drums and feel
“Rickey” is from Carizzo Springs,TX and has been playing the drums for 15 years. His first band was called Envasión that he started with his cousins to perform at local shows for families and friends. He then moved to Corpus Christi, TX where he worked as a studio musician for Freddy Records for three years. Pichardo moved to Miami and worked for two years there as a professional drummer and percussionist. In San Antonio, TX he has performed with Tormenta, Amor y Pasión, Mark Odom, Derek Winters and now with Elijah Zane and The Experience.
Elijah Zane - Lead vocals, lead guitar, and songwriter
Born and raised in Victoria, TX, Zane discovered the passion for playing guitar and singing in church. While learning Christian songs at the age of sixteen with other church members, Zane started playing the blues. His influences include The Black Crowes, Ian Moore, Doyle Bramhall II, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Bradley,. Zane has played with former Sound Mex signed artists Amor y Pasión, Jackson Parten, Ashlee Rose and Last of Our Kind. In 2005, Zane co-wrote and produced “Iron Roses” with Chris Lieck for Ashlee Rose. Zane has had the luxury to open for Texas artists such as Roger Creager, Jake Owen, JFJ, Vallejo, Chris Duarte and Ian Moore.
Alfonso Nuñez - Saxophone, harmonica, and backup vocals
“Al” was born and raised in El Paso, TX. He has played professionally for 25 years. Nuñez joined Capitol EMI signed Tejano group in 1992 and has recorded a total of five albums with the band and toured from 1992 and 2000. In 1996 Nuñez joined Sound Mex and recorded two albums with Amor Y Pasión. In the same year Nuñez was nominated “Saxophonist of the Year” at the Tejano Music Awards.
Ruben Alvarado - Sound and percussion
A San Antonio native, Ruben has always been a part of music by providing sound and mix for many local bands. He now plays percussion and provides sound and mix for the band.
